Dr. Pica has spent over 25 years providing exceptional eye care to the Fox Valley community. She was recently selected as one of the Top 200 Optometrists in the U.S. by Newsweek Magazine. Dr. Pica was awarded the Pediatric Care Clinical Excellence Award, Primary Care Clinical Excellence Award, and was inducted into the Gold Key International Honor Society by the Illinois College of Optometry.
In clinic, she enjoys problem solving with patients and especially enjoys challenging contact lens fittings and working with children. She is proud to have co-founded one of the Top 20 Myopia Control practices in the Midwest, along with Dr. Halkias, and they are pioneers in certification and fitting of MiSight lenses.
Dr. Pica spent time studying in Spain at the University of Madrid, Complutense. Fluent in Spanish, she has an ongoing interest in treating patients in the Hispanic community and outreach through volunteerism. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her three children, cooking, travel, and pretending to be a successful golfer.
