Dr. Wendel is a medical retinologist and cataract surgeon who brings exceptional training and a patient-centered philosophy to Fox Valley Ophthalmology. He completed his Medical Retina and Molecular Ophthalmology fellowship at the University of Iowa, one of the nation's leading institutions for retinal care.
Dr. Wendel believes in establishing a relationship with patients based on mutual respect and cooperation. While modern medical care is complex and nuanced, he strives to educate patients and allow them to make decisions that are true to their values and goals. He also believes in creating a joyful environment filled with levity and gratitude.
Dr. Wendel and his wife, a dermatologist, have four daughters.
